MEET YOUR PODIATRISTS

Dr. Thanh Liem Nguyen

Dr. Thanh Liem Nguyen has more  than ten years’ experience in podiatric medecine. He has owned and is responsible for Clinique podiatrique Berri since 2008 and opened a second clinic, Clinique podiatrique Cadillac, in 2017. He has also led Podiatrists Without Borders since 2012.

Professional and academic background

  • April 2008 : Dr Thanh Liem Nguyen was awarded a Doctorate in podiatric medicine by the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in 2008 and his studies included a four month internship at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.

  • 2008 : Dr. Nguyen opened his first clinic in downtown Montreal, Clinique podiatrique Berri.

  • Since 2011, Dr. Nguyen has taught courses for the Baccalaureate of Nursing Sciences at the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

  • He is also a lecturer-clinician supervising students working towards a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.

  • 2017 :  Dr. Nguyen opened his second clinic, Clinique podiatrique Cadillac near the Cadillac metro station.

Dr. Alexandra Thuy Phuong Nguyen

Dr. Alexandra Thuy Phuong Nguyen, podiatrist, completed her podiatric medicine doctorate at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. During her studies, she has enriched her knowledge with a pediatric, surgery and radiology externship at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine as well as an externship with a podiatrist affiliated with Baptist Hospital of Miami and with Barry University in Miami.

Professional and academic background

  • Wound care internship at the Centre hospitalier régional de Lanaudière and at the Centre hospitalier affilié universitaire régional de Trois-Rivières.

  • Summer of 2017 : Dr. Nguyen participated in a humanitarian mission in Vietnam with Podiatrists Without Borders.

Responding to economic challenges in developing countries, Dr. Nguyen founded Podiatrists Without Borders in 2013, a non-profit organization focused on providing free podiatric expertise to impoverished populations. Since its founding, PWB’s podiatrists and podiatry students have carried out humanitarian missions to countries such as Vietnam, Cameroun, Bolivia and Peru.

Dr. Nguyen has supported other humanitarian causes here in Montreal such as Maison du Père by gathering foot wear for people in need.
